フランスポスター界の巨匠。
41歳の時に採用された「MONSAVON-牛乳石けん」のポスターで一躍有名に。以後、エールフランスやペリエ、ミシュランなどの大手メーカーや映画、パリやトゥルーヴィルの公共ポスターなど、数多くの傑作を次々と生み出し、戦後のフランスを代表するポスター作家の地位を確立。
