When emotional memories and [thoughts] stored in the mind are released

the brush begins to move.

Japanese painter Ayumi Matsuoka publishes his first book of paintings.

  Japanese painter Ayumi Matsuoka publishes her first book of paintings;

Japanese painter Ayumi Matsuoka was born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1978. After completing his doctoral studies at Tokyo University of the Arts, he has been active mainly in solo exhibitions at department stores, and has been awarded the grand prize at the Shouhaku Art Museum Flower and Bird Painting Exhibition and the Inten Exhibition Encouragement Prize, and is a remarkably active artist in the Inten Exhibition.

He paints animals and plants with soft brush strokes, and sunfish is a particularly popular motif. Ms. Minako Kito, curator of the Meito Art Museum, who has been following Matsuoka's career from the beginning, has written the chapter commentaries, which are divided into six sections. The chapters are arranged in chronological order of production, and introduce Matsuoka's career to date, from his early works to his new folding screen paintings. The book also includes a discussion with sculptor Akio Omori, Japanese-style painter Ayana Otake, and Hiroshi Natsume of Natsume Art Shop, as well as a cross-industrial dialogue with Ayuko Suzuki, a women's marathon runner, and a look at Matsuoka's own appeal.

This is the first collection of paintings by Ayumi Matsuoka, a Japanese-style painter who is expected to lead the Japanese art world in the future.
