This is a collection of works by Tatsuko Kawabata, one of the leading masters of modern Japanese painting, who has been attracting more and more attention in recent years, 50 years after his death.

The collection includes all works owned by the Tatsuko Kawabata Memorial Museum in Ota Ward, Tokyo, as well as newly acquired works.

This is the first book and catalogue of the museum's collection that contributes to the study of Japanese-style painting, and allows the reader to appreciate the "art of the venue" that Kawabata Ryuko advocated with the latest research results in a large-format, spread-size book.
