Description
| Approximately 300 adorable package designs, mainly from the 1950s to the 1980s. Akiko Ogano, who runs a small Russian goods store [Mar-Imir] in Nara, came across Soviet-era chocolate wrappers there. After a few years of knowing that the museum had closed and continuing to research in the hope that it might reopen someday, she came across an article about a certain Russian magazine keeping the museum's collection from that time. [I wanted to see that collection again! ] turned into action and led Mr. Kogano to Igor *Smilennyi, the editor-in-chief of the magazine company. This book is the result of such passion and encounters. Russian chocolate wrappers have not been introduced in Japan until now. The book is a collection of works that expresses not only the loveliness but also the history and social conditions of the country. The Russian chocolate wrappers are not only lovely, but also have the depth of expressing history and social conditions; In Russia, creative packaging design unfolded from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. The design consciousness carried over into the Soviet era, and even in a society where businesses were state-owned, a variety of creators refined and produced wrapping paper designs. The designs depicted not only history, the alphabet, and zoology, but also scenes from folk tales and cartoons, paintings by famous artists, anniversaries, and even social affairs, [morning news in the newspaper, evening news in the chocolate].
