Description
| Yarn balls are handmade one by one by craftsmen at a ceramic studio in Japan. Simple design for ease of use. The entire surface is glazed and fired to prevent the yarn from getting caught. Handmade ceramics are not as precise as machine-made products, but have a little distortion, which is adjusted by hand, one by one, to give them a unique taste and charm. The material used is ceramic (ceramic clay or semi-polished clay), and 100% ceramic clay is used. The higher the ceramic clay content, the more rustic the pottery is, and the more earthy the taste, as in the case of Shigaraki ware. |
