Description
[The 6th Picture Book Publication Award] Jury's Special Prize Winner On the night of the full moon, three children, Mr. Platypus, Mr. Echidna, and Mr. Quokka, bring delicious food for a picnic. But for some reason, the sky is dark even though it is the night of the full moon! Platypus finds the moon over the lake, catches it, and brings it home. When the three children realize that the moon is gone, they join forces to bring it back to the lake! Now, can the three children return the moon to the sky in time? This is a picture book that will bring you a gentle feeling, as even the softness of the moon's light is expressed through the use of pasted pictures. [With a story and illustrations that make you feel both "motion" and "stillness," this is a perfect book for bedtime reading. [Twinkle, twinkle, round, round, very beautiful. I would be very happy if you could enjoy looking at Manmaru together with Platypus-kun! ] (From the author) Comment from the publisher The author, Ms. Nomura, a graduate of the agriculture department, is particular about the depiction of animals. Her cute characters move around lively on the page.
