Description
Is it [a crime] to pretend not to see? This is a picture book of Ryunosuke Akutagawa's memorable masterpiece [Shiro]. Shiro is a dog whose body is as white as milk. In a desperate attempt to save his own life, he quickly abandons his friends and runs away. When he realizes that his body has turned completely black, he is unable to return to his owner. What did Shiro think and wish for? --- [Shiro] is a professional artist who creates delicate and powerful line drawings. With a single pencil, professional picture book artist [Shinsuke Tanaka], with his delicate yet powerful line drawings, depicts the depths of Akutagawa. Each time you turn the page, you are drawn into the world through shots like the frame layout of a movie, a work with a wide range and power. Target age range: 3rd grade elementary school students to adults. *A winner of the 3rd Picture Book Publication Award Special Jury Prize *Comments from the publisher Everyone has had the experience of pretending not to see something and feeling guilty about it.
