I was wondering how I could make use of the cute patterns that remained at the ends of the fabric. I wondered what I could do with them. Around 2014, I found an article about a handmade piece of beautiful work from overseas in which a family photo was pasted onto a glass dome and made into a magnet! [I thought, "This is it!] so I ordered glass cabochons from overseas, which are not sold in Japan. At first, the structure was as simple as bonding the glass cabochon and cloth together, but I was really happy to be able to make very cute earrings. Later, I had the opportunity to teach how to make them, and as my production methods, techniques, and skills evolved, I was able to improve the functionality and create a variety of designs. The WORKSHOP has spread from the Kanto region to the rest of Japan, and professional creators are now active in various fields. Until around 2020, we will actively hold POP UPs at department stores, station buildings, and event venues. Currently, online lessons, online sales, and overseas sales channels are being expanded.
