The sword pattern [sanbonsugi] was created by sword smith Magoroku Kanemoto in the late Muromachi period (1336-1573).
The name "Sanbonsugi" was derived from the fact that the three swords have a row of sharp, even-grained heads, with each of the three swords interlaced with a protruding, high, random pattern that looks like a row of standing cedars.
The excellent traditional techniques handed down from the Muromachi period (1333-1573) are still used today in the production of blades.

The blade material is steel, so it needs to be cleaned each time.
