In Telugu, it means [Tholu = leather] and [Bommalata = puppet show]. Many of the performances are based on ancient Indian mythology, and many well-known Hindu gods and goddesses also make appearances. Puppet theater itself is known as a traditional art form, and the puppets used in it are also highly artistic, making it one of the most popular traditional crafts. |
