| Reeds have been a part of the beautiful scenery along the shores of Lake Biwa. The reeds spreading along the shores of Lake Biwa are harvested and processed into Japanese paper, which is then made into yarn and woven into fabric. The Biwa reed cloth cushion covers woven with reed washi paper allow you to feel the unique texture of reeds close at hand in your daily life. The design is simple so that it can easily fit into a wide range of styles of spaces, and the texture is light and pleasant to the touch. By harvesting and utilizing the reeds from Lake Biwa, this is a sustainable product that also helps to preserve the environment of Lake Biwa. About the naming Morning calm" and "Evening calm" are named after the image of a scene in which the wind stops blowing, the waves disappear, and the surface of the lake becomes calm. The light fabric is named "morning calm" when there is no wind when the wind changes from a land breeze to a sea breeze, and the dark-colored fabric is named "evening calm" when there is no wind when the sea breeze changes to a land breeze. The haze is a beautiful view of the mountains on the other side of Lake Biwa on a fine day, but on a cloudy or rainy day, it becomes hazy and difficult to see them. ネーミングについて
朝凪・夕凪は、風がやんで波がなくなり湖面が静まった情景をイメージして、明るい生地は陸風から海風に切り替わるときの無風状態「朝凪」、暗い色合いの生地は海風から陸風に切り替わるときの無風状態「夕凪」と名付けました。
霞は、天気の良い日には琵琶湖の対岸の山が綺麗に見えますが曇りや雨の日はかすんで見えにくくなります。そのような情景をイメージして「霞」と名付けました。景色はかすんでいますが、目の前にはいつもと変わらず大いなる湖、琵琶湖が私たちの暮らしを支えてくれています。
