| Notebook, clear and sharp. Gel-ink ballpoint pen with new ink using new bead-pack pigment technology, which has been proven effective for writing more colorful and memorable letters. Product Features Newly developed bead-pack pigment Unlike ordinary gel ink, the newly developed UNIBALL ONE ink uses a new pigment that minimizes the penetration of colored materials into paper fibers. [The pigments used in UNIBALL ONE ink are uniquely developed bead-pack pigments that trap conventional colorants in their particles. By trapping the pigment, which is the colorant of the ink, in the particles and increasing the size of the particles, the penetration of the colorant into the paper surface is minimized. As a result, the colorants on the paper surface emit their original colors, making blacks darker and colors more vivid. Black is darker and colors are more vivid, making it easier to write memorable, clear, and sharp-looking letters. Compared to ordinary gel ink, the black color is more intense. Through joint research with Ritsumeikan University, we have found that darker, sharper black letters are more memorable. By using "uni-ball one," which is darker than ordinary gel ink, you can write letters that are more memorable when you look back at your notebook. When comparing the memory performance of handwritten letters written with ballpoint pens of different shades, we found that letters written with the dark black ink of [uni-ball one] had a higher percentage of correct answers and a higher rate of word reproduction than those written with common gel ink. The results of this study were reported at the 38th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Association of Basic Psychology.
