Description
| Established in 1948. This product is a collaboration with Soiree, a long-established cafe in Shijo, Kyoto, which features pale, beautiful blue lighting, as advised by Professor Rokuro Uemura, a dyeing and weaving culture researcher, that blue makes women look beautiful from a color theory perspective. The menu was invented by the wife of the second-generation owner, who made it for her daughter, who disliked milk, by adding five different colored jellies and offering it as a menu item at the restaurant. Later, [Jelly Punch] using local cider produced in Kobe instead of milk was added to the menu in 1978. The Jelly Punch, a specialty of Cafe Soiree, is now available as a bag charm. It is a gem of a product finished in a sparkling stained-glass style with a detailed expression of jewel-like five-color jellies.
