どの土地にも、遠い太古からの記憶が幾層にも折り重なっている。
いまもなおそこにはっきりと形を伴って遺っているもの。
人々によって受け継がれているもの。
すでに何者かによって奪われ、失われてしまったもの。
写真家はそのすべてを写しとろうと試みる。
膨大な思い出を抱えた土地はいつだって寡黙にそこに佇むが、
写真は饒舌な代弁者として姿を現し、語りかけてくる。
結ばれた像が紡ぎだす物語は、 私たちに様々なことを気づかせるだろう。
大切にすべきこと。忘れてはならないこと。 いますぐ考え直すべきこと。
その対話こそが、人間にできるせめてもの 歴史への償いなのかもしれない。
