| Hideyuki Ishibashi selects fragments of old photographs and postcards purchased at flea markets in France and reconstructs them to create a single image. The "imaginary world," which is stripped of all information and cloaked in an unsettling atmosphere, is completed through a novel approach of extracting fragments of photographs. The exhibition also includes 23 collages of the photographs from which the images were created. |
