■ちょうどいいサイズでバッグインバッグに
女性が持ちやすいお手頃な大きさ。バッグインバッグにちょうどいいサイズ感で、コスメなど身の回りに必要なものを入れるのにぴったり。
ふわふわ、さらさらの生地で出来ているので中に入れたものを傷めません。使う人のことを考えながら、手間をかけて作られたポーチです。
■クオリティの高い、きちんとした作り
現地に行くと刺繍とミラーワークのかばんはいっぱいありますが、正直、「日本に持っていったらクレームばかりになりそう…」と思うようなクオリティでなかなか買い付けすることができませんでした。でも、前回の買い付けで「これだったら大丈夫だね」と思えるこのポーチを発見したのです。
インド製品は、見えにくい部分で手を抜かれてしまうことがあるのですが、こちらは底のマチ部分もしっかり縫製されています。もちろん、インドの品なのでほつれなどはありますが、一般的な物と比べるとよく作られています。
なお、この商品は手作りの刺繍物ですので、それぞれ微妙に模様などが異なります。手工芸品の味としてお楽しみください。
■ザリ・ザルドジ刺繍の作り方
こちらのバッグは、ザリとは金を意味し、ザルドジとは刺繍を意味するインドの美しい刺繍で作られています。
ザリ・ザルドジ刺繍は16世紀後半に、イスラム勢力であるムガル帝国によってインドにもたらされました。もともと、ザリ・ザルドジ刺繍はインドにはなく、インドよりも東のペルシアからやってきたと言われていて、伝播の経緯から、イスラム教徒によって作られている刺繍としても知られています。
