Both of them feature yarn dyeing, in which the yarn is dyed first to produce the pattern. SHIMA-SHIMA is a modern interpretation of Kokura-ori. Under the supervision of Noriko Tsukijo, a dyeing and weaving artist, the warp threads are densely woven using the excellent techniques of Imabari Towel.
