It is appreciated as a gift to celebrate the 60th birthday or as a unique present. ~RED THEATER Pottery Shop KYOSEN [Tamotsu Nagaoka The works of potter Tamotsu Nagaoka, who runs the pottery studio [Kyosen], are based on the eye-popping color [red], and are very rare in the world. One-of-a-kind* vessels of contemporary art will be exhibited at the time of [Red Theater]'s solo exhibition. You can see large and artistic pieces that are not usually handled. [Noriyuki Tanaka of Yoen Tanaka creates the general [Yoen] vessels and the Jizo, which is made with a potter's wheel. The selenium-red glaze is difficult to match with the clay and shrinkage, so he changes the clay mixture each time. Brushing on the glaze as if heaping it on creates a tasteful atmosphere with shades of gray. It adds an accent to an ordinary table. [Koyo] Toshinori Matsushita Humorous patterned vessels and figurines are created by Matsushita. This red color goes well not only with the stately vessels and jizo, but also with vessels with pictures of cute owls, turtles * rabbits * hinasama * kabuto, and other small objects.
