Description
Akae has long been loved as an auspicious vessel using the color of fine Japanese weather. It is an auspicious vessel suitable for celebratory occasions. Based on the traditional red painting, the bowl is decorated with auspicious patterns such as "Fuku," "Sogyo," and "Mangyaku" patterns. The three legs give this heaping bowl a sense of stability and presence. The power-made shape is unglazed, then underglazed and fired after brushing with underglaze patterning prints. Lead-free transfer paper is applied and fired in an overglaze kiln to complete the process. Recommended as a gift. [AWASAKA] Mino-yaki pottery that combines the authenticity, tradition, and modern design of Japan-born Mino ware with handmade craftsmanship. The roots of Mino ware go back to the Jomon and Yayoi periods, and the pottery culture represented by Shino and Oribe blossomed in the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Among all the kilns in Japan, Mino ware has a long history and has been loved by tea masters such as Sen no Rikyu and Furuta Oribe, as well as artists such as Rosanjin. AWASAKA's gift selection of Japanese tableware is all made in Japan, with a focus on Mino ware. |
