Description
Handmade tableware by Seifu's master Shigemichi Tabata. This black vessel complements dishes of seasonal bounty. It is a classy vessel to be prepared for daily life and for entertaining. We also recommend it as a gift. [AWASAKA] Minoyaki ware is handcrafted with authenticity, tradition, and modern design born in Japan. The roots of Mino ware go back to the Jomon and Yayoi periods, and the pottery culture represented by Shino and Oribe blossomed in the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Among all the kilns in Japan, Mino ware has a long history and has been loved by tea masters such as Sen no Rikyu and Furuta Oribe, as well as artists such as Rosanjin. AWASAKA's gift selection of Japanese tableware is all made in Japan, with a focus on Mino ware. |
