The inspiration for this story came in September 1893, when the author, Beatrix PotterTM, wrote a picture letter to her friend's son, 5-year-old Noel. The story takes place on a farm in the English countryside. Peter, a mischievous rabbit, enters Mr. McGregor's garden to eat lettuce and is discovered by him. Mr. McGregor chases him and Peter runs away, but what will happen to him?
