Description
It is made by wood craftsmen in Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture, which is blessed with high-quality Nikko cedar, known as "famous wood. In the old days, skilled craftsmen gathered from all over Japan to build the gorgeous Nikko Toshogu Shrine. It is said that they permanently settled in Kanuma, which has a stable climate and flat land, and inherited their outstanding skills, which are now the foundation of their technical capabilities. The cedar tray is made of carefully selected materials, using the straight grain of Nikko cedar, as well as the rare red meat and black core portions. In order to make the most of the unique parallel grain, the front side is simple and the back side is designed to be easy to hold by cutting off the four sides. The surface is coated with a smooth, pleasant-to-the-touch finish that resists scratches and moisture and is impervious to light reflections. The shadows cast by the rim make the cedar tray look as if it is floating, and the dishes and food placed on it provide a comfortable tension that stretches not only the space but also the mind and back. The back of the bowl is branded with an original branding that pays homage to Nikko cedar, which has been carefully stamped one by one. Tableware: W430 x D320 x H12 As a lunch mat. Put one soup and three dishes on it for a well-balanced diet. Tea table: W300 x D300 x H12 As a tea mat. Place a teapot, teacups, and a plate of sweets on it for a relaxing time. Sake tray: W300 x D200 x H12 As a tray for drinking sake for one person. Place a sake cup or glass and a small bowl on it and enjoy a blissful moment. Drinking tray: W90 x D90 x H12 As a coaster. It gives you a sense of relaxation to elegantly display your usual drinks. |
