**笠間焼**
茨城県笠間市周辺を産地とする笠間焼。
素材の笠間粘土は粒子が細かく粘りがあり、焼き上がりの収縮率が高いため、丈夫で汚れに強く、使うごとに味わいが出るのが特徴です。
粘土を一定の厚さの板状に延ばし、型に粘土板を押し当てて作る｢たたら成型｣という技法で作られています。
たたら成型は職人の手で成型していくため、ざっくりとした大らかな仕上がりで、やわらかい曲線やゆがみが特徴的です。そのため、ひとつひとつ表情が異なるのも大きな魅力。
素朴で温かみのある器をお楽しみください。
