Description
A canvas mesh cap with Kurume kasuri fabric used for the piping and the back of the brim. The casual use of the fabric makes it suitable for everyday use. *about "Kurume Kasuri Kurume Kasuri is a traditional cotton fabric that is representative of Japan. It is said that the name "kasuri" comes from the grainy appearance of the pattern during weaving. Kurume kasuri is characterized by its wonderful, intricate patterns created by combining warp and weft yarns that have been dyed in a kukuri process, and by its texture that blends in with the wearer's skin every time it is worn. The complex and sophisticated traditional techniques of Kurume Kasuri were designated as an intangible cultural asset in 1957. This tradition has been passed down through the years for about 200 years, and the number of manufacturing companies has been shrinking year by year. In order to make the splendor of kasuri more widely known, the [TUG collection] incorporates new kasuri patterns full of originality into hats and miscellaneous goods while preserving the tradition. We hope you will give it a try. |
