Description
Jun Nishida, who passed away in 2005 at the age of 27, was a rare ceramic artist who won many awards in Japan and abroad. Rensaku [Zetsu] is his masterpiece. The entire piece is fired for three or four days in a kiln at 1,300 degrees Celsius. The energy of the dissolving material and the magnificence of the material that cannot be fully dissolved. The energy of the dissolving material, and the magnificence of the unmelted material, are vividly expressed by smashing the jar after it is pulled out of the kiln. [For Jun Nishida, who said, "I want to create an independent existence that is possible when human creativity is added to the creativity of nature," and "My works are my alter ego," what kind of word was "Zetsu" for him? What kind of word was "zetsu" for Jun Nishida, who said, "[Insulation], [Absolute], [Zettai], and [Zero]. This is a collection of works that reexamines Jun Nishida, a ceramic artist who has gone on to explore unexplored realms. Long-awaited reissue in July 2018 Many of the works featured in this book are now in the collections of major museums and foundations around the world.
