[Craftsman House No. 70] Made by Toyotai Kiln in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture. All products are individually handmade, so you can feel the warmth of these products.

*Mino-Yaki
Mino ware has a long history, dating back to more than 1,300 years ago. At first, the technique of Sue ware was introduced from the Korean peninsula. In the Heian period (10th century), ceramics with an ash glaze known as shirashi (white porcelain) began to be fired.
Shirashi was an improved version of Sue ware with a glaze. From this time, the number of kilns increased and the area became a full-fledged pottery production area. From the Azuchi-Momoyama period to the early Edo period, pottery reflecting the tastes of tea masters was produced along with the popularity of the tea ceremony.
