1983年「うちのタマ知りませんか？」という、突然いなくなった飼い猫を探すポスターが商品デザインになる。従来にないコンセプトが好評を博し、当時の女子高・女子大生・OLを中心に大ヒット。その後「見つかったタマ」を中心に、新しい仲間も加え「タマ＆フレンズ」として小学生にもファンが広がっていきました。
TVシリーズや劇場版映画などを経て2001年全米でも放送、茶色のブチがある日本猫「タマ」は海外でも知られることになりました。
