Description
| [HBT gun crew pants were adopted in 1943 and are work clothes for the armored department. Although generally referred to as the assault artillery HBT work uniform, it was also issued to tank soldiers and mechanized infantry following tank units as boarding and combat uniforms, making it not only a work uniform but also a summer and temperate zone boarding and combat uniform. The prewar German army's work clothes for training and maintenance were made of white denim, but at the beginning of the war, work clothes made of reed-green cotton HBT (herringbone twill) were adopted for field use. Our reproduction of the HBT gun crew pants is modeled after the TYPE2 (late type) adopted in 1943, with large knee pockets, an inner belt for waist adjustment, asymmetrical front pockets, and a slightly tighter silhouette than the original.
