Description
Westy Industries, Inc. The cushion covers and seat cushion covers of the [Nosute] series developed by Westy Industries, Inc. Cushion covers and seat cushion covers of [Nosute] series by Westy Industries; We have been particular about both the patterns and materials; We have been particular about both the patterns and materials. The pattern is a stylish pattern with both Japanese and Scandinavian styles, carefully selected from Nonosute Shouten's pattern paper. The fabric is made of Buckingham fabric, which is randomly uneven and pleasant to the touch. All the weaving, dyeing, and sewing of the fabric is done in Japan. ; ; What is Nonosute*? What is Nonoste? [The name "Nonosute" comes from "Nonosute Shoten" which was located in Minami-Nonome, Aisho-cho, Shiga Prefecture. Aisho-cho is a town where Omi Kamifu flourished thanks to the hemp weaving technique introduced from Kyoto in the Muromachi period (1336-1573), its abundant water resources, and the activities of Omi merchants. Kamifu means "fine linen fabric," and it was a luxury item that was used as a gift for the Hikone domain. Nonosute Shohin was one of the stores that manufactured Omi Kamifu, which had a reputation for its beautiful multi-colored patterns. Nonosute Shohten regrettably went out of business in 2002, but it was founded in 1884 (Meiji 17), which means that it had a history of about 120 years. We wanted more people to know about this beautiful pattern and tradition, so Westy Industries, a futon covering manufacturer that also has its own factory in Aisho-cho, helped us to breathe new life into [Nosute]. We are committed to making all of our products in Japan, and each piece is carefully sewn by skilled craftsmen at our factory in Aisho-cho. We make our products with the utmost care so that everyone who uses them can use them with peace of mind. We hope that our thoughts and feelings will reach you. |
