Description
This is a solid and sturdy pencil case. The lid is rounded for a soft and cute design. Resin finish. Originating from pine trees and bamboos, which remain evergreen in winter, and plum trees, which bloom in the cold, this pattern is considered auspicious. While individual patterns have existed since the Heian period (794-1185), the Matsutake Ume pattern dates from the Muromachi period (1333-1573). |
