| Laminator JPS (Jam Protection System) is designed to prevent laminating film from wrapping around the rollers and jamming. The No. 1 cause of laminator repairs is film wrapping around the rollers, but this specification prevents this from happening. For example, Aska describes a large margin as a small sheet of paper being sandwiched against the film, and this is a major cause of jams. Even when laminating with this large margin, the roller does not wrap around the laminate and the laminate is discharged smoothly. With a warm-up time of 2 minutes and a processing speed of 7.5/5.0 mm/sec (Highspeed/Lowspeed), the machine finishes A4 copy paper in approximately 40/60 seconds. (Highspeed is for 100 micron film up to 0.2 mm paper thickness.) A buzzer beeps when warm-up is complete. An auto power-off function (energy-saving design) automatically turns off the power after 60 minutes from the completion of warm-up. The buzzer also sounds when 60 minutes have elapsed to notify the user of the shut-off. If you wish to continue laminating, simply turn the power back on immediately after hearing this sound to quickly resume laminating while maintaining the heating temperature. The laminating stop button comes in handy in the event of a jam. |
