During the festival, parades and costume parades are held in the city, making it a very lively event. ♪♪ ♪♪ This is a traditional ceremony where family and friends gather to drink, sing, and talk all night long in remembrance of the deceased. *Each item is handmade by artisans. 「カラベラ祭り」は、毎年10月31日〜11月2日にかけて行われる、メキシコで年に1度の大きなお祭り。「死者の日」とも呼ばれ、日本でいうお盆のようなもの。
日本と違うのは、皆さんとにかく陽気でハッピー♪大好きなご先祖様、こちらに帰ってくる大切な故人をお迎えし喜ばせるために、お墓や祭壇をたっくさんのお花（マリーゴールドやケイトウ）やキャンドル、カラベラ（骸骨）人形たち、砂糖菓子や故人の好んだもの・お酒などを、色とりどり鮮やかに飾ります。お祭りの間中、街ではパレードや仮装行列が盛大に行われ、とっても賑やか♪さすがラテン系！♪♪
皆さんそれぞれ故人への想いを馳せて、家族や友人達が集い、一晩中飲んだり歌ったり語り合う伝統的なセレモニー・お祭りです。
