| Dinner cutlery set of western white tableware manufactured in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan's domestic production center for metal tableware (knives*spoons*forks). Stainless steel is not enough. But sterling silver cutlery is too expensive. Western white silverware was created to answer such needs. The base material is an alloy of copper, zinc, and nickel, and the surface is plated with 3.8 microns of pure silver for professional use, also known as nickel silver. The main reason why it is called nickel silver is its color. While polished stainless steel shades catch the light, nickel silverware shines softly and almost white in the light. Manufactured by Todai, a long-established manufacturer in Tsubame City that produces cutlery sets for high-class hotels* and restaurants nationwide. シルバーメッキは大気中の水分や硫黄、または硫化水素に反応して必ず白っぽく変色します(変色自体は人体に無害です)
毎日お使いの場合はそれ程変色はしませんが、なるべく変色させない為に正しいお手入れ方法でいつも美しい状態を保つことを推奨する

*お手入れ方法*
使用後はなるべく早く液体洗剤をスポンジなどにつけて洗い、乾いた柔らかい布で拭いて水気を完全に拭きとる(使用したままの放置はすぐに変色しますので避ける事)
クレンザーやスチールウール等は表面に傷がつくことがありますので使用しない
白くくすんで変色した場合は専用銀磨き剤、もしくは歯磨き粉(塩分はNG)を柔らかい布に塗布して軽くゆっくりと磨く
