Floating ballpoint pen made by Eskesen of Denmark, a company with many collectors around the world. The background of the floating surface is an Ino drawing from the collection of the National Library of Japan. In the old days, distances were measured by stretching ropes or iron chains between rods called "Bonten".
The design on the front is a silhouette of an Edo period surveying scene.
When the pen is tilted, Ino-san slowly begins to walk.
