GEL-COOL has a refrigerant sealed in the lid, so by freezing the lid, the lid itself acts as a refrigerant. It keeps food at or below 15°C for about 4 hours at an ambient temperature of 25°C. It is known that bacteria are activated when foodstuffs are exposed to temperatures above 25°C.
