描き下ろしカバーイラストをはじめ、画集未収録のカラーイラストも掲載。
描き下ろしイラストは、色鉛筆だけで彩色したもの。これは、高橋さんにとって初の試みです。
巻頭には高橋さんが実際、色鉛筆でどのように色を塗っているかが分かるHOW TO DRAWを収録。
厳選されたイラストの中から、キャラクターだけを塗ることが出来るページも用意しています。
少女だった全員がときめかずにはいられない、画集のように美しいぬり絵本が誕生いたしました。
1934年大阪生まれ。貸本マンガの世界でデビューの後、雑誌「少女」にカラー連載「あらしをこえて」などを発表。以後、表紙や口絵、挿絵で活躍するほか、スケッチブックや筆箱といった文具類などに数多くの少女画を提供する。現在は定期的に個展を開催し、精力的に新作を発表している。
主な著書に「あこがれ 高橋真琴画集」「真琴の美学（共に復刊ドットコム）／「夢見る少女たち」（パイ インターナショナル）／「ペローとグリムのおひめさま シンデレラ」（学研）／「高橋真琴の少女ぬりえ 世界のおひめさま」（講談社）など。
