【バーニングマンとは】
アメリカ北西部ブラックロック砂漠で毎年、8月の最終月曜日から9月の第一月曜日まで開催される実験都市アートイベント。
約7万人もの参加者は「バーナー」と呼ばれ、一週間で砂漠にブラックロック・シティ（街）を作り、作品を展示する。
広大な会場の中心には毎年燃やされ、造形される巨大な「ザ・マン」が屹立、想像力を駆使した巨大芸術の数々が設置されます。いたるところに「アートカー」、「ミュータントビークル」と呼ばれるデコレーション&巨大なスピーカーを装備した乗り物が出現、夜には砂漠はイルミネーションでいろどられ、ハイライトでは「ザ・マン」が燃やされます。
