Yixing tea pots were imported from the Muromachi period in Japan, and continued until the Meiji period.
The Gote-type tea jar was also used as a model for Japanese tea note and was made in each production area.
In the Edo period, Yokote tea notes were made.
The Yokote tea notes currently in circulation were made after the Edo period.
After that, it became the mainstream of Japanese tea note and came to be called "Kyusu".

This item is a pottery pottery.
Since the raw material of pottery is clay, it is naturally water-absorbent.
Therefore, glaze is applied to prevent water from passing through.

The firing temperature is lower than that of porcelain because the temperature is adjusted to clay and glaze.
