| Octagonal wooden chopsticks with a pointed tip, Hiba 23cm Easy-to-hold octagonal wooden chopsticks made of fragrant hiba wood. The tip angle processing makes them easy to grasp. -What is Hiba? Hiba refers to both the asunaro tree, which belongs to the Asunaro genus of the cypress family, and its variant, the hinoki asunaro tree. Hiba is known to be more resistant to insects, mold, and decay than other species of trees. It has a very elegant and calming aroma, similar to that of the Japanese cypress. The 23cm size is recommended for adult men and women. *Not dishwasher safe. *Since it is sensitive to high temperatures, it is not suitable for use in stir-frying or deep frying. *The color and texture of this natural wood may vary from piece to piece. ヒバはヒノキ科アスナロ属に属するアスナロとその変種ヒノキアスナロという樹木の両者を指し、これらはいずれも日本固有の植物です。
ヒバは他の樹種に比べ虫をよせない、カビを生やさない、腐りにくい等の性質があることが知られています。
ヒノキのようなとっても品があり落ち着く香りです。
