Description
Adorable plastic bottle cap in the shape of a kokeshi doll's head Kengo Kuma East Japan Project NARUCO Kokeshi Bottle Cap Naruko Kokeshi Bottle Cap in the shape of a kokeshi doll's head is handmade one by one by kokeshi doll craftsmen in Naruko Onsen, Miyagi Prefecture. The caps can be used to recycle PET bottles by replacing the caps of used PET bottles with Naruko Kokeshi Bottle Caps. The Naruko Kokeshi Bottle Cap has a pleasant wooden texture and the shape of the kokeshi doll's head fits nicely in the hand, making it easier for elderly people and children, who usually have difficulty opening PET bottle caps, to open and close the cap. The Naruko Kokeshi Bottle Cap attached to a PET bottle looks just like a real kokeshi doll. *East Japan Project / Ejp Products This is a Tohoku reconstruction assistance project led by architect Kengo Kuma. Various companies* and designers will collaborate with traditional craftsmen in eastern Japan beyond the boundaries of companies* and organizations to propose daily necessities that enable new ecological and sustainable lifestyles. *Message from Kengo Kuma "We propose [a new lifestyle]. [A new life is a life rooted in place. Place is another name for a system in which climate, climate, industry, people, and everything else related to the land are blended together in the most natural way. However, that system was lost in the 20th century with the urban-centered society that sought efficiency and convenience. People prefer uniform products, and the products of a place have lost their power, and the name "traditional crafts" has been attached to them. 3.11 has brought this fact home to us. [The "new life" is a way of life that reverses the trend of the 20th century of continuous loss of place. Together with artisans in eastern Japan, we propose products for a "new life. These are not traditional handicrafts that are unusual or expensive, but rather "new daily necessities" that everyone uses in their daily lives. It is a tool for everyone to live with a place and participate in the great cycle called place." [ made in japan ] |

■East Japan Project / Ejp
