[CUSHENDALE] Wool weaving began to flourish in the town of Graigner Manor in the south of Ireland in the 1600s, and in the 19th century, Patrick Cushen established a factory to produce woolen goods. This was the beginning of the CUSHENDALE brand. The DUISKE River, one of Ireland's clearest streams, flows through the center of the city, and the water has been used for 100 years to dye the wool, which is then carded and woven in the company's own factory. CUSHENDALE handles the entire process of dyeing, carding, and weaving wool in its own factory. CUSHENDALE is one of the few remaining wool weaving factories in the world, but it has not been satisfied with its 200-year history, and many buyers around the world continue to support its attitude of constantly researching new dyeing and weaving techniques. アイルランドの南、グレイグナー・マナという街で羊毛織物が盛んにおこなわれ始めたのは1600年代で、19世紀になるとパトリック・クシェン氏が羊毛織物を製品に仕上げる工場を を立ち上げたのがCUSHENDALEブランドの始まりである。 アイルランド有数の清流であるDUISKE川が街の中心地を流れるという地の利を利用して、その水で100年にわたり羊毛を染色し続け、自社工場で梳き上げ織り込んでいくという全工程を CUSHENDALE社は手掛ける。 今では数少ない羊毛織物の工場として残るCUSHENDALE社だが、200年という歴史におごることなく、常に新しい染色、織りを研究していくその姿勢に、全世界の多くのバイヤーから 賛同され続けている。
