This traditional thread winder is assembled with 5mm square brass and wrapped with easy-to-use shiny black and white silk threads. The thread winder is manufactured by Takatsuji Seisakusho in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, famous for its casting industry, and widely known for its traditional crafts, Takaoka copperware, which has been passed down for 400 years. Their high precision and careful finishing polishing techniques have resulted in a dignified appearance of a string scroll! The silk threads on the scrolls are made by MARIMO, a tassel workshop in Chikugo City, Fukuoka Prefecture, which specializes in small tassels and knots. The beautiful finish of the hand-wound tassels is truly the work of a craftsman. There is a cutout for inserting the end of the thread, so you can use it to rewind your favorite thread.
