| *At the end of the Meiji period (1868-1912), the publisher Shozaburo Watanabe revived the declining art of ukiyo-e prints and worked with artists to create new prints (shinpanga) that were in tune with the times. This book presents a selection of masterpieces depicting landscapes by master printmakers such as Kawase Tomoe, Yoshida Hiroshi, Kasamatsu Shirani, Ito Shinsui, and others. This is a collector's edition that allows the viewer to appreciate the delicate carving and printing of woodblock prints, which are highly acclaimed even overseas, on a large screen. *Major artists featured in the book include Kouitsu Tsuchiya, Shotei Takahashi, Hiroshi Yoshida, Tomoe Kawase, Takayuki Ito, Shirani Kasamatsu, and Shinsui Ito.
