| Kohana cohana Japanese handmade pincushion, needle holder, sewing, needle holder, Japanese cypress In 1975, [Nambu ironware] was first certified as a traditional craft*. Today, the tradition is carried on in the Mizusawa and Morioka areas, and castings produced in these two areas are called Nambu ironware. Bunchin with a button motif has a solid weight and can be used as a penholder as well as for Western-style dressmaking. To bring out the soft texture of the cast iron surface, we paid particular attention to the coating. Stack them in different colors for a gorgeous look around your desk. Please try to find your favorite color combination. *These handicrafts have been designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and meet the following criteria: history of more than 100 years *mainly handcrafted *used in daily life. *Can be used to hold Western-style sewing patterns, as a paperweight, or as a penholder. *Color may fade due to friction or impact due to the characteristics of the coating that brings out the texture of the cast surface. *Do not rub this product against each other when stacked.
