Description
Handmade vessels made in a Mino pottery kiln. A ceramic demitasse cup with a capacity of about 100 ml. It is a vessel for espresso to enjoy the mellow richness and aroma. In French, "demi" means half and "tasse" means cup. A smaller coffee cup is called a demitasse cup. The capacity of a demi-tasse cup is about half that of a standard coffee cup, and is usually between 45ml and 90ml. Although demitasse cups are most often used for drinking espresso, they can also be used to serve jam, whipped cream, and other sweets. It is also interesting to use it as a petit cup when serving jam or whipped cream with sweets. These small, cute cups are a joy to look at when displayed side by side. The size of these cups makes them a great collector's item. All cups are handmade by craftsmen. The surface has a shiny and smooth texture. The glaze may be penetrated. ---Penetration This is a technique that utilizes the difference between the clay and glaze during firing, and refers to fine cracks in the glaze. This is different from "cracks" that are formed when the clay cracks, so there is no leakage or cracking from these cracks. It is safe to use.
