| *[National Treasure, Caricatures of Birds, Beasts and Humans] (set of four) Heian - Kamakura period, Lent by Kozanji temple Rabbits and frogs wrestling, monkeys chasing each other. These dynamic animals play and leap about. Known as one of the greatest masterpieces in the history of Japanese painting, the four-volume set of the National Treasure "Caricatures of Birds, Animals, and People" is loved by all. All four scrolls have been made into a collotype edition of reduced-size picture scrolls. You can follow the story and enjoy it, or you can spread out your favorite scenes and use them as interior decorations. It is also an ideal gift for overseas. Kou scroll The most well-known scroll. Various animals wrestle, play in the water, and chase each other. Scroll B In addition to horses, cows, dogs, tigers, elephants, etc., fictional animals such as qilin, lions, and dragons are also depicted. Anyway, this volume is full of animals. Scroll C The first half of this volume depicts people, and the second half depicts animals playing. Ding This volume is clearly different from the other three volumes in terms of brushwork. 平安〜鎌倉時代 高山寺蔵

甲巻
