Nakamura Hochu Born in Kyoto in 1819, Nakamura Hochu was a painter of Korin Ogata. 〜He was born in Kyoto and lived in Osaka, where he studied the painting style of Ogata Korin. He was known for his mastery of shitoga (finger painting) and his interaction with the literati of Osaka. In Kyowa 2, he published a color-printed picture book [Korin gafu] and became known as an artist who painted in the style of Korin. On the other hand, he loved haikai, and was widely associated with haiku poets in Edo, Osaka, Owari, and other areas. 中村芳中（なかむら ほうちゅう）
生年不詳〜文政2年(？〜1819）、京に生まれ大坂に住み、尾形光琳の画風を学んだ絵師としてその名を残す。 大坂の文人たちと交流を持ち、指頭画（しとうが）の名手として知られていた。享和2年に色摺絵本『光琳画譜』を刊行し、光琳風の絵を描く絵師として知られるようになった。 一方、俳諧を好み、江戸や大坂、尾張などの俳人たちと広く交友していた。 「たらし込み」を多用した琳派風の草花図、軽妙な俳画などを多く描いた。
