中村芳中(なかむら ほうちゅう)
生年不詳〜文政2年(?〜1819)、京に生まれ大坂に住み、尾形光琳の画風を学んだ絵師としてその名を残す。 大坂の文人たちと交流を持ち、指頭画(しとうが)の名手として知られていた。享和2年に色摺絵本『光琳画譜』を刊行し、光琳風の絵を描く絵師として知られるようになった。 一方、俳諧を好み、江戸や大坂、尾張などの俳人たちと広く交友していた。 「たらし込み」を多用した琳派風の草花図、軽妙な俳画などを多く描いた。
