Description
The main character is a girl who will not be daunted! Maya grows a big peach tree from the seeds she finds in the river. A sly monkey tricks her and steals her delicious peaches. Maya gets upset, makes rice balls and goes to fight the monkeys. Will she and the pigeons, bees, moles, and oxen she encounters along the way be able to defeat the monkey? This is a fun picture book of an old tale from Okinoerabu Island. ::::::::::::::::::::::::: As you go on and on and on The doves began to fly and fly. ["Maya, Maya, where are you going?] Maya said, "I'm going to go see the monkey. ["I'm going to go see the monkey, come with me.] And the pigeon said, "I'm going to go see the monkey. [I ate breakfast in the morning, but I don't have lunch at noon. But I can't go because I don't have lunch.] But the pigeon replied, "I ate breakfast this morning, but I can't go because I don't have lunch at noon. Then, Maja said, "I don't want to eat lunch. Even when the main character is a woman, she is probably a modest and quiet woman. Many of these folktales have been made into picture books, but the folktales that have been passed down through the generations are richer in variety, featuring a variety of women who are undaunted and find happiness in their own way. We have made a picture book of such a folk tale with a heroine that has not been known until now, and present it to children who will live in the world of the future. |

:::::::::::::::::::::::::
