Description
Takaya Fujita is one of the most popular realistic painters reflecting contemporary realism. The 50 works on display are not only astonishingly detailed depictions, but at the same time, each is a sublime pictorial space shaped by a different accumulation of light. The works are neutral and tranquil, but the presence of what is depicted is intense and strong. From the work, we are struck by the power of the artist's discernment of what the figures and motifs fulfill and capture them in their fullness, and the fact that [everything is simple and certainly there]. This first book of Fujita's paintings includes contributions from artist Kenichiro Ishiguro (Reflecting Human Complexity) and Koichiro Noji, Director of the Izumiya Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo (Mamanizing the Dignity of Existence: The Realism of Takaya Fujita). In addition, Fujita's own words and the text "To paint a picture" reveal his straightforward thoughts and sincere attitude as a painter who continues his dizzying production. *Bilingual (English and Japanese) *Japanese/English [Table of Contents] Illustrations [Painting]/Takaya Fujita [Reflecting human complexity]/Kenichiro Ishiguro [The Dignity of Existence: Takaya Fujita's Sketch]/Koichiro Noji List of Works Chronology Author/Takaya Fujita Contribution/Koichiro Noji(Director, Izumiya Hakkokan Tokyo*) Contribution/Kenichiro Ishiguro(Artist) B5, 112 pages (50 illustrations) |
