| *Shikishi [sunshoan shikishi]* Biography: Kikanuki, Heian period, Lent by Seikado Bunko Art Museum *What is a collotype? While offset printing, a common printing method, expresses colors and shading with a density of small dots, collotype expresses them with continuous gradation, allowing for more realistic and precise detail, much like a photograph. Denki no Tsurayuki Kino Tsurayuki (868-946), one of the Thirty-six Poets, was born between Jougan 10 and Tenkei 9. [He is famous as a poet and the compiler of the Kokin Waka Shu (Anthology of Ancient and Modern Japanese Poetry), but he was also highly regarded as a calligrapher and painter. The only surviving copy of the Tosa Nikki (Tosa Diary), which is said to be in his own hand, is a copy of a copy of the Tosa Nikki with an inscription by Fujiwara no Teika, and his works, such as the Sunshoan Shikishi and the Koyakiri, have been handed down to posterity. |

伝紀貫之（きの つらゆき）
貞観10〜天慶9年（868〜946）、三十六歌仙の一人。『古今和歌集』の撰者であり歌人として有名だが、書画家としても高い評価を受けていた。自筆本とされる『土佐日記』の一部を藤原定家が臨書したものだけが残っており、伝承作品として『寸松庵色紙』『高野切』などがある。
